When I was a wee lad, my cousin introduced me to BattleTech. I remember the joy thundering in my heart as I stood atop my little brother’s felled ‘mech, its head freshly kicked in, my cockpit open and the lake breeze in my luscious locks of golden hair. When my cousin left, the little rat bastard took his game with him and I’ve been creating my own games, chasing that high ever since.
“Godspar” is the name of a mythological mountain peak, a central fixture in one of my many fictional universes, that reaches upwards to an infinite distance into the cosmos from the surface of its tormented host planet. The Godspar is a nexus, not merely for the heroes and villains of the planet, but for anything that should chance upon it as it reaches through the infinite Outerdark and beyond.
